ParticipantHi,
My machine is a Beko Washer Dryer, model WDR7543121W_WH.
As of yesterday evening (having successfully completed a load and put another in), the machine would struggle to take in water first and foremost. By which I mean that it would start to push water into the machine as usual, but rather than filling for 30 seconds or more, it would abruptly stop after about 5-7 seconds. Then try again and stop. Then try again and stop. And so on. About 5 or 6 times, before it would then just sit idly doing nothing, and then the whole thing would shut down – digital panel going off and all.
To be clear, I later removed all the washing load and tried again – not only could I see the water bubbling into the drum in the intermittent moments when it tired to push water in there. But also my taps, as usual, would lose pressure during that process, so I don’t think there’s a blockage there.
I tried to put on spin cycle. All that happens is that the machine seems to try to release any remaining water, and then nothing happens. No spin, just sits there. And then again the whole thing turns off after a little while.
I have removed and cleaned the filter. No water stuck in the drum / machine, no debris.
I just spoke to an engineer who said it sounds like the programmer, and it would probably be more cost efficient to get a new machine. Particularly as the parts to replace are hard to get with the lockdown going on.
Anyway, just looking for a second / third opinion. As I say, it’s not that the machine isn’t taking on water; it is but just stops itself abruptly for no apparent reason and then tries again. And it would appear it won’t spin. And then it doesn’t like it all and switches off.
Any assistance gratefully received!
Just a quick edit: the machine is approx 3.5 years old. No problems prior.

Moderatorwell a bit of guess work here but from what your saying motor is not turning
could be a motor fault. as normally the motor would be turning your washing over so the way it fills may be normal
some units have a seperate motor board to control it so it coulld be that
bad news is my main wholesaler or this site has no stock and would have to be ordered from Beko, and that aint going to be quick, plus, you have to confirm the diagnosis in the first place
