    Hi,

We have a Indesit Dif04 integrated dishwasher. When beginning a cycle it fills with water fine but when it initially gets going it makes a terrible grinding sound. I can stop the cycle and it drains just fine.

I’ve checked the filter inside and isn’t blocked so I’m leaning towards that it could be the circulation pump / motor.

Has anyone had this issue before and could you possibly confirm my suspicions? Can the motor be fixed or would it be worth just changing?

There are no warning or error lights but we turn it off as it doesn’t sound right at all.

Thanks for your help and I hope everyone is safe and well in these awkward times we find ourselves in.

    TIA

The main circulation pump/motor is prone to this type of failure on these. 🙁

Thanks iadom! I’m finding that the average cost of a replacement motor is around £120, would you say this is fair or is there a cheaper alternative?

    Thanks again!

That is about the going rate.
