ParticipantHi All
I am looking for a under top freezer. Prefer a frost free if not too expensive. I was in local John Lewis at new year sales. I looked at a Liebrarr (non frost free) and a Beko. Did not buy one over spent on gifts. There are more good reviews for Liebrarr than Beko. Has anybody got any one of these brands. Your input to help me decide will be appreciated.

ModeratorHi
Liebherr are the best you can buy whether it be frost free or not, they also produce Miele refrigeration. Beko at the budget end is about the best in their price range. Which models were you considering?

ParticipantThank you Don for your response. I am looking at Liebherr GN1066 PREMIUM no frost. A bit pricy for me I think. The other is G1213 smart frost what ever that means. I was led to believe Liebherr make fridge freezers for Miele. Liebherr claim both of these freezers have 3 containers. Actually they are 2 1/2 but then I am not looking for a big freezer. I would appreciate your positive input. I am no longer confident as once I used to be in buying appliances. Recently I bought a bosch washing (replacement for bosch lasted 32 years of hard graft) this new machine is rubbish to put mildly. The other I bought is a fridge freezer (panasonic) another rubbish. I have had more ear bashing over this. Freezer is not big enough hence wanting another freezer. What is your opinion on Liebherr.

Moderatorsmart frost option is not frost free. it says the technology reduces frost. what is has got is 15L more space as it has not got the bulky gear inside to make it frost free

Compared to other static freezers, Liebherr’s SmartFrost technology freezes food faster, and reduces ice build-up, making defrosting simpler and quicker. It also provides a more flexible storage area with greater capacity and improved energy consumption for lower running costs.Dave

ParticipantThank you electrofix. Your explanation clarifies what smart frost is and the fact that Lieherr G1213 has little bit more space. Liebherr appears to be good in comparison with other mid range brands.
