hi im looking for some advise on a part on my bush WMNS714B washer known as a resistance fixing wire. I recently purchased drum bearings and seals from ukwhitegoods. ive replaced the bearings and seals ok but as i was removing the drum the resistance fixing wire fell off and i cant see any obvious place where it came from, would any one be able to advise on where it goes.

never heard of it but the names used by manufacturers differ

from a google search i think it makes sense now

the wire is used inside the drum to stop the end of the heater from waggling. if this was not in place then as the machine bounced on spin the heater would move and could contact the drum

have attached a pic. this is what I believe to be the correct way up (could be wrong ) and the heater will go in the end from the arrow
