Hi I’m looking for help, I have a beko washer, I have put it into service mode, i select the option to spin the motor right and then left, it’s meant to spin slowly but goes on full spin speed, would this suggest the pcb dc motor board needs replacing?

The reason I’m asking is that the washer starts to wash, the drum spins and suddenly stops

    Thank you for any help

at the back of the motor is a small generator(tacho) this tacho feeds a signal back to the board to tell the board what speed its doing

so likely faults are broken magnet in tacho
broken wire between tacho and board
shorted motor control traic on the control board ( had one do this last week)

Thanks Dave, just checked the tacho and the wires seem fine, I guess if one of the magnets is broken it will be a new motor? Or can you pick these up? I’ve checked the board for any visual signs of damage but it looks OK.
Just one other thing the service mode was showing error E11 but it’s now showing 1501, can’t find any info on 1501

would need complete model number to look it up

as for the board you need a multimeter to check for short circuit on the triac

dont know about the motor as model incomplete and there are 3 pages of machines starting WMB

dont know what the 1500 is but E11 is just saying motor fault

disconnect motor and find the wires that go to the tachometer at the rear of the motor

take off the plastic cover and check the revolving magnet is ok. if yes check the coil with a multimeter to make sure its ok. Seems to have a resistance of 80 ohms

1501 will be the software revision code. Usually comes up in diagnostic mode when the error has been cleared from memory.

Thanks both, Dave I have removed the cover and the magnets seem fine, by checking the coil you mean check the wires coming from the tacho, sorry if its a silly question, I have put a multimeter on the wires set it to 200 resistance, put each pin on either wire and I get no measurement, but I’m not sure this is what you mean.

    Thanks for your help

yes you should get a reading across the coil. check again but it sounds like a faulty coil

    coil part no is 372205506
