Just got my new washing machine delivered a Bosch WAN28150FF, I set everything up according to the manual and then started the cleaning cycle i think it’s at 90° i’m now near the end of the cleaning cycle 30-20mn remaining and I just noticed vapour coming out of the machine? It seems to come from the front left next to the laundry drawer. Is that normal? I also noticed a smalls droplets under the drawer that weren’t there wen I started the cycle.

It doesn’t seem to be smoke because I can’t smell anything the machine seems to run normally and I haven’t noticed anything weird but I was really surprised to see vapour coming out i’ve never heard of this before.

    Any opinions? Should I worry?
    Thank you 🙂

90 degrees is hot. you have to expect some vapour and condensation

if it was smoke you would know about it as vapour has no real smell as it no more than hot fog

    I guess it’s normal then, I think I’ve never done a 90° wash before

I wonder why would someone wash their clothes at 90° haha

The metal feels a lot thinner than my old bosch top loader but that’s the kind of “corner cutting” I expected, apart from that it’s definitely a nice upgrade thank you for the suggestions! Would you personally run the cleaning cycle every three months as recommended or is it overkill? Also what do you think of the calgon stuff that’s recommended by Bosch is it worth it I sometimes use white vinegar? I know about cleaning the filter but I wonder what other maintenance can be done to extend it’s life as much as possible. Is there a thread on the forum about “routine maintenance”?

    Thank you

calgon depends where you are in the limescale stakes more then anything else. i recommend customer do a hot wash at least twice a month using a powder meant for white washiing. Anything cotton will normally take it like towels etc. Always try to leave the door open. What your trying not to do is make a warm damp breeding ground for bacteria and mould

So I can do this cleaning cycle and at the same time clean my towels with the white washing product at 90° twice a month? Just found these really good guides on the website https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/cleaning-maintenance so i’ll read them carefully! Again thanks Dave!
