Hi , I have checked the arms and the filter and I ran a couple of cycles on hottest setting with dishwasher cleaner. Often runs on with 1 on display and has to be manually turned off. I have read other posts but have not read any with these exact symptoms. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

check all the holes in the wash bars for debris

    check its draining properly

assume you pre rinse all dishes

This has been done and not solved the problem
Could it be a problem with frayed cables at the door hinge?

well its a bit of a mystery

if its draining then filling, then heat and wash, then drain and refill with clean water and re heat and wash then drain

it cant be dirty in there, so something is not happening you just have to find out what. if the rinse water is dirty then it sounds like it not clearing the first wash water properly or the amount of debris in the water is too much. I assume you rinse the plates before putting them in

Yes we don’t put food in. I was wondering if it wasn’t pumping out the debris efficiently and it was falling back into circulation. Is that possible?

not sure which machine you have as no complete model but later machines detect the pump to know when machine is empty. If it did not empty it would thow up a fault code and stop the programme

you can try your self if you run it through a short programme. wait till it drains and open door and check
