Having a bit of trouble (even after reading the instruction book) what actual cycles on the HOOVER Dynamic Next DX C9DG are sensor dry cycles and which ones are timed ones …. or are they all sensor dry programmes/cycles? (as in it doesn’t matter which cycle you choose , as soon as the clothes are dry in the drum the sensor will stop the tumble dryer from drying) ? as a lot of other tumble dryers only have say 2, 3 or 4 sensor dry programmes out of 11 programmes say.

Now there is a ‘Cotton’ setting on the dial at 3 o’clock position , but that only selects ‘hanger dry’ and when I want to select ‘extra dry’ it wont let me (all the drying LED flashes at once) so i just want to bung me cottons in at 9kg capacity , and have them dry highest heat, in the shortest possible time , and ‘extra dry’ but the sensor to turn off the drying as soon as the stuff inside the dryer is dry (extra dry) ! but trying to find the right programme on the dial to do that is proving a bit of a puzzle. I tried ‘all in one and dont like that programme (and again only lets you select ‘cupboard dry’ as standard, not ‘extra dry’ – the nearest one i think I can find where I can select is ‘whites’ at full 9kg and ‘extra dry’ and anti-crease.

    here’s the dial:

The instructions are at best hopeless, Reading page 12 of the instructions it appears that no3 time cycle selection at the bottom of that page you can by pressing button 3 from the right allows you to programme in ten minute intervals with each press. You do need to do this within three minutes of starting the sensed programme.

That’s my take on it anyway 😉
