    Hi there

I have a Rangemaster Classic 110 with an Induction hob.
All was working fine until a few weeks ago, when one of the rings stopped recognising that a pan was on it. The other 4 rings are fine, and detect when a pan is on the ring. This one hob, sort of gives the odd click, as if its trying to recognise the pan, but doesn’t.
We are not using new pans, yes they are induction pans. I have tried cleaning the pan bottoms, and the Hob Top. All are clean and free of any grime. One hob Ring however will not acknowledge that a pan is on the Ring. it gives the symbol of no pan on the Ring. We have tried other Pans.
I have contacted Rangemaster, who have said I can have an out of warranty repair for £195 including parts & Labour. I just thought I should check with the experts here, before I do anything.

Serial no of the Cooker is: 8751 156126 Rangemaster tell me it was made in 2012, I thought we bought it new about 4 or 5 years ago.

    Many Thanks

    E

Have repair done by them as it will be either a power board or a slave board and I know they change both
