ParticipantHi . We got error code 09 on our 9yr old dishwasher. It’s been amazing by the way.
I ordered a new heat pump from Siemens but on removal of the old unit the little 3pin plug fell apart and the 3 grey wires all popped out.
Does anyone know where I can get a new plug and if we were to place the wires back in the plug (which we have done) does it matter which way round they go?
We could superglue the plug back together if this was the case.May 15, 2020 at 1:12 pm #468712electrofix
Moderatoras far as siemans are concerned it
https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/uk/shop-productlist/00657884i will matter which way the wires fit inot the plug
there is one common wire and the other 2 connect to 2 sensors. you cant blow things by getting it wrong but it may not run correctly as this wire measures the temperaturei have been told the go in the same order they come out of the plug from the board and the chances are if you get the middle one correct the other 2 wont matter
just measured an old heater unit and both sensors read the sameDave

ParticipantSo that would mean 3 attempts , right? Just got to get the right one in the middle, then I can superglue the plug back together.

Moderatormore or less yes
just make sure you have a good connection on all wires as these are insulation displacement connectors so the wire has to be in far enough to make the connection
i would trace the wires back to the board, they will go in the same plug and which ever one is in the middle on the board start with it in the middle on the connector.. dont forget to mark the wires so you dont lose track of which one you have triedDave

ParticipantThanks Dave, you’ve been a big help.
I’ll let you know how I get on. Pump should be here early next week.May 26, 2020 at 3:43 pm #468717Fruid
ParticipantDave that’s the new pump in.
The washer is on and appears to be working fine but the water hasn’t got warm yet. Not sure if it’s on a cold rinse first.
If the water doesn’t get hot , is that those 3 wires not in the correct way? or would it not be working at all ?May 26, 2020 at 3:48 pm #468718Fruid
ParticipantThe new pump arrived early last week but was damaged on arrival so I had to order a new one straight away and send the broken one back.
That’s why it’s taken so longMay 26, 2020 at 4:17 pm #468719electrofix
Moderatorchoose the quick programme
close the detergent draw
when you hear the draw open with a clunk it will then heat
some programmes do have a cold rinse first

ParticipantWater didn’t get hot so we tried the 3rd combination and that seems to have worked….water is hot!!!!
Also managed to get a new sticker set to go on the top for the buttons as ours have all worn off. Got them from a place in Essex.
Very happy and many thanks Dave.
It would be really useful to find the make and model of that wee 3 way IDC plug as it’s very fragile and nearly impossible to remove without breaking (in my case at least)May 26, 2020 at 7:27 pm #468721electrofix
Moderatorhave had the odd one fall to bits myself
luckily i knew where the wires came fromglad you sorted it
