I have a liebherr fridge freezer model cnel4213 , service No is 0911828-01 serial No is 48.815.675.6 the alarm goes off about every 3-4 months and the freezer temperature is not at -18, but might be -9 or lower, i had one of the sensors replaced before which cured it for about a year would it be the same again? the part no of the sensor replaced was 6942626 , which sits in a hole at the back of the freezer part, the other sensor is just at the back wall cover that fits over fan etc near the food shelves clipped in on the freezer part , why is there 2 sensors.

when i switched the fridge freezer off and checked the connections on the new sensor which was fitted about 18 months ago it seemed to fix it, so i rejoined it and the temperature went back to -18, now ive looked and its up to -24, any help would be much appreciated

Hi, The sensor you fitted ( 6942626 ) is not listed for your unit on the exploded parts diagram, the two sensors in the freezer are listed as 9590142 but now replaced by 9590206, you have an air sensor clipped to the rear cover, this turns the compressor off along with the air sensor in fridge, the coil sensor ends the defrost and enables the fan to come on once the coil is at temperature.

    Hi Tony,
Thank you very much, as the fridge freezer was under warranty at the time, the new sensor that was fitted was fitted by the engineer for Liebheer, im not surprised its not the correct one as the engineer was leaving when the freezer was still not working properly until i told him, he had not the connections in the wee round connectors correct in that they were not tight. the sensor that was replaced was (the the coil sensor ends the defrost and enables the fan to come on once the coil is at temperature) freezer is sitting at -18 today as I reconnected the joints myself on the replaced sensor.

I think to keep things right I will order the correct sensor.

Once again thank you very much for your help and reply
