ParticipantMy mate from Burnley + Pendle just happens to be getting on my wick at the moment. (God knows I’ve got on many peoples myself in the past I know)….But getting back to the point. I have concluded that he must be the “Tea Boy” of the company…? Cos he’s no friggin’ engineer that’s for sure 🙄 He knows bugger all in the grand scheme of things and his “Off Topic” postings are getting me down…… 👿
OK…I know, I’m taking it far too seriously and I must allow for some ‘plebs’ amongst us…..!!
He’s just a couple of postings away from one of my PM’s though, so please tell me to calm down :rotfl:

Very subtle reply Kenneth, as you have obviously read another recent post of mine on a totally different subject recently?
If that’s so? then a very very subtle response indeed from you and I will bear that in mind :scot:

KeymasterRe: I wonder?
He’s young Martin and still learning a lot methinks.
And, when you’re young, you tend to (as we say here) wade on in there baw deep before looking. 😉
He’s shut up on the epidemic failure thing for now anyway.

Very true Ken thanks, I have calmed over him now, but my theory over ‘my other posting’ has proved unsound in this case….oh dear 🙁
And in case you really are confused?, you will just have to PM me I guess for an explanation:D

KeymasterI’m always confused, it’s merely what over that’s at issue. 😉

He’s 24 and a right ugly specimen. Personally I find his enthusiasm quite refreshing – he asks because he wants to know, and sometimes he answers to show that he knows things. I suspect that he is perfectly aware that he is posting to a group of cynical grumpy old codgers like us, and sometimes tries just a bit too hard.
If you want his mugshot, eMail me – Dave’s had a peek.

ParticipantRe: I wonder?
Naah, we had a PM exchange as he was trying to work out who various people were in the Galleries, and sent his old bus pass photo (!) through by way of thanks. Not sure about that………..
Anyway seeing as he posted it Martin, why do you hate him?

Hate Him? I don’t hate anybody least of all Goatboy. What I said was that he was getting on “my wick…!”
I’ve settled down now and am waiting expectantly of the next batch of new recruits entering the barracks from the UKW mailshot. Please may he have few cousins from the herd out there :rotfl:

Well there’s some not-so-bright specimens out there I canassure you.
We got a request yesterday to add someone to the directories or Repairs@, still not sure which…
No company name, address, phone numbers, username… nadda!
Really bright guy obviously. 😕

When Adam was a lad I was a “Field Trainer” at Hotpoint (And no it doesn’t mean I ploughed fields or any other such jokes – I’ve heard them all before!!)
I was the lucky recipient of all those raw recruits fresh out of training school, I had to take each one under my wing and teach them the job, ha! ha!
I would not allow them loose on Joe Public lest I was confident they at least might be able to fix the odd machine now and again, by themselves. With some just a couple of weeks with me and they were away on their own quite happily, others took several weeks before they were ‘potty trained’.
My patience was virtuous in the extreme with many of the prats let loose with a screwdriver, job sheet and a Transit Van. Only one guy I remember to this day I would willingly have pushed out of the back of my van in the fast lane of the M4 (Actually they didn’t have motorways in those days – just dirt tracks – but you get my point!)
My problem these days is that I do not ‘suffer fools’ quite as well as I used to, ‘grumpy old git syndrome’ kicking in I guess :rotl:
