    [h=1]Hi, my first post on here but I have a hot point SI6 874 SP IX oven and it turns off every time I open the door during cooking. It looks to be the steam effecting the touch panel on the front of the oven? Have had a hotpoint engineer out a few times who has replaced the panel but still happens. Anyone have the same issue or any suggestions?

    well if you have had a hotpoint engineer out i would complain at them

    its a known issue as there is a technical bullitin about the issue. boils down to a design fault which the bullitin is meant to fix. if it doesnt start moaning

    they are internal documents for hotpoint engineers and it would be difficult for me to share these especially in a public forum

    there are 2 documents one dated dec 18 and the other jan 19 both documenting problems with steam and the display. they recommned changing the module and resealing it.
    dont know how effective this cure is as i had no knowlege of it until your post plus I seldom see units this new as they are under warranty

    As i said before you called out their enginner to cure this problem and since it still does it i would conclude they have to come back as the repair is obviously not working
