I hope someone will be able to help me. We have an Igenix microwave and today my partner cleaned it with a damp cloth as it had become quite dirty (my fault for microwaving soup without a lid!). When we went to use it afterwards, it now sounds like a blender! It was making a horrible loud crunchy/popping noise, so we quickly turned it off. Does anyone have any idea what this could be please and if it is salvageable?

    Thank you in advance.

have you tried it again now its had time to dry out ?

cant think of anything you can do by cleaning it to cause this so just trying simple things first

Thanks, I just tried it again for a minute and it was mostly fine, it made the noise again once it had been going for about 40 seconds (last night it was doing it as soon as it was turned on) but this only lasted a couple of seconds and it then ran normally for the last 20 seconds. Hopefully it will be okay now!

Thank you, I hope so! Will definitely put a lid on my soup from now on.
