we have just brought a new diplomat oven model no:adp3340, first it kept cutting off, so we opened the back to find the fan resting on the instulation and the wires were all black, so we screwed the fan in the place that it should of been when we purchasted it, and now when we turn the oven switch on the wall the fan comes on without turning the knob setting on. is this how the oven is supposted to work does anybody know.

Okay, first thing is, you shouldn’t have taken the back off the appliance whilst it was under warranty as some manufacturers would consider that as invalidating the warranty.
No, that’s not how it’s supposed to work and you will have to call MFI to arrange a service call on it ASAP and I’d strongly advise that the machine is not used in the condition that it’s in at the moment. So much so I’d say disconnect it from the mains as there’s no way of knowing if the casing is live or anything!
