Hi folks,
I hope everybody is well. I have a customer with a AEG Washer Dryer L16830 914602122 01 with a E5E error code, this machine had the same problem about 6 months ago and it turned out to be a insulation fault on the wash element, according to the manuals it is a “Communication error between inverter and main board” and the remedy is “Defective wiring between main board and inverter board, Defective inverter board,Defective Main board”, have checked the wiring between boards and that appears okay (not an easy job). before I write this appliance off does any body have any other thoughts.have you had a good look at the invertor board ?
the user panel is fed by the power supply form the main board but its likely the inverter board has its own power supply for the electronics. If this power supply fails its likley to give you this fault because it cant respond to the main board
have not had a close look at these inverter boards on washers but had An AEG dryer with a motor problem that was a power supply chip on the inverter panel. Cant remember if it came up with a fault code though
