I inherited a bush wmdf612w with the house, I’ve had it for 2 years I believe it was a around a year old when I got it. I use it for around 2-3 loads a week (1 easy care, 1 or 2 60c). I use liquid detergent(Aldi bio) in a person dosing ball. I’m not in a hard water area

Its never been a quiet machine(the pump seems loud, as are the noises from filling), but I think the spin cycle is getting louder. I don’t notice any up and down movement of the drum, lots of front to back though. If I spin the drum by hand it’s not particularly rough or noisy but I can hear a coughing sound when it slows (not sure if this is normal or not)

I’m not sure whether to replace now, or if it’s likely got much useful life yet. Are there any checks I should be doing to get a better feel for how imminent the failure is ?

Also what would you recommend to replace it with. I’m not looking to go as cheap as another bush , but also not Miele money either £400 or so

Tried an empty spin, which sounded fine, perhaps I’ve had a couple of out of balance loads ?
