    Hi

I brought a new washing machine just before lockdown and thought i was putting on weight as my washed clothes felt a lot tighter than normal.
I started to measure my clothes before and after wash and noticed all ad shrunk, some by a couple of inches.
When i noticed i immediately turned off the spin cycle and spun them separately for 2 minutes or just hung them up abov the bath to catch the drips but the problem persisted.

As its new ive only used for quick washed which ar either 20 or 30 degrees(which doesn’t clean too good) according to the manual.

anyone know of any reason why this is happening or my legal rights as my clothes are now ruined?

plus i cant do any washing now.

Its a Haden(no ive never heard of them either)HW1206.

Is this a new machine? Where was it purchased from? Who installed the machine?

yeh its connected to cold tap underneath sink(presuming thats the cold fill?) only.

the sink in my kitchen was move to other side of room years ago so now theres couple metres extra piping which sometimes results in hot water coming out the cold tap for 10-20seconds….could this be reason?

oh the door doesnt get hot when i touch it.

To make sure I would disconnect the hose and let the water run into a bucket to make sure the water is indeed cold.

That aside if it is a new machine I would call the retailer and get them to sort it out.
