Hi I have an old Samsung RS21JLBG american style fridge freezer. For the last few weeks its been building up with ice at the back. I have followed a guide on taking the fan assembly out and thawing it out. Same with the fridge element which was all frozen up.
the fridge shows its 5c but yet its not for sure as milk is going off quicker.
Am I right in thinking it looks to be the Fridge Defrost heating element thats broke? Therefore not defrosting??? after about 2 weeks i get this grinding noise from the fan which i know is ICE. so have to defrost it on a weekly basis.
The foil backing which i think is the evaporator tray is all battered and falling to pieces. I assume looking at the wires this heats up ???? Any way if anyone is out there that could help diagnose so i could possibly fix it then please get in tough.
