    [h=1]Hello![/h] I’m having an issue with my Bosch WTW87560GB (heat pump dryer). I wondered if you had any further detail I could use to help me resolve it?

    The dryer is drying the clothes for as long as it remains on, so heating isn’t an issue, all filters are clean, however after a cycle it will throw “condensate tank full” error which I think is the result of the sump filling, but the water not being pumped to the reservoir at the top left of the machines (this remains bone dry).

    I’ve opened the back hatch and got to the pump, I’ve manually cleaned and emptied the sump (which wasn’t dirty) once already, disconnected and blown down the pipes i can get to (removing the pipe that leads to the reservoir and blowing in to this makes a bubbling sound, the larger gauge pipe which the pump exports the water up allows me to blow freely inside of it to, so obstruction or sound) and I’ve tested the pump activating via dropping it in a container of water, which it did seem to pump out… so I believe the pump works and it spins, at least I’ve once witnessed this. On subsequent tests, like dropping the (what i assume are electrodes?) pump in to a saucepan of water to simulate a full sump, it didn’t activate the pump, which I would expect to react? At this point my only guess is the pump or that sensor is faulty – As an aside, I dropped the pump impellers into some hot water with some vinegar to dissolve any scale.

    On any given mode, the drier will make its way through 15-20 mins of the cycle and then throw the error, but I believe if I empty the sump each time and run it, the dryer will complete the cycle.

    I’m at a bit of a loss, and I cannot find the process to enter the dryer into a test mode. Any body know how, or have a service manual?

    Any help appreciated. Happy to post pictures or a video if that’s at all helpful? I searched the forum and found similar threads but nothing for my model.

    bosch tech info is very hard in not impossible to find

    how old is this unit ?

    you say you powered the pump and proved it worked How and did you make it pump up to the draw ?

    I purchased the machine in 2016, it was one of their premium models.

    Underneath the sump pump, on the left hand side, there are 2 metal prongs which I assume monitor the water level somehow? I’d managed to get the pump to operate by drying the prongs and then submerging them in a container of water in order to simulate the sump being full – which would then I assume trigger the pump to the reservoir, some of this would then ordinarily be cycled back through the condenser to clean it and end up back in the sump?

    I tried the same technique tonight, but for whatever reason the pump wouldn’t switch on, so perhaps it is intermittent? Right now the machine is sat with its error light on for a full condensate tank.

    I’d found the sump pump online for £70/$80 which I’d happily spend if I knew that was the issue.

    the 2 metal probes feed back to the printed circuit board and the board detects the moisture using resistance. make sure the probes are clean and there is no contamination that can cause a rogue reading.
    i would measure the pump coil to see if thats faulty first. Since the sensor connect to the board which then decides whether to run the pump or no i would try to find the connector on the board and remove it and put it back in case its a bad joint
