ParticipantHello I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Diplomat Fridge Freezer APM6855-1 that I bought in 2008. It keeps breaking down every 4 to 6 weeks. I know how to fix it temporarily, but it’s become a real pain. I’ve looked into a repair but I don’t think it’s worth the cost for a 12 year old appliance.
So I’ve decided to buy a new one, but as it’s an integrated appliance, it’s tricky to get the dimensions. I’ve got some measurements and have found a replacement that should fit, but before I spend nearly £500, I need to be certain. I’m usually pretty good at keeping manuals in a safe place, but can’t find the fridge freezer manual anywhere.
Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

ModeratorCan you give me the height of the the two appliance doors please, I can then tell you you the split size you need. IIRC it’s a 50: 50 split.

ParticipantThanks Don, the top fridge section door is 79cm and the bottom freezer section door is 84cm.

ModeratorAs I thought it is a 50:50 split fridge freezer with sliding door hinge system.
It is the most popular size of integrated fridge freezer so there is plenty of choice 🙂

ParticipantThanks Don. It wasn’t the split I was trying to find out about though, it’s the external dimensions of the actual appliance. It’s tricky to measure the depth with it in the cupboard.
I’m pretty sure it will be in the manual, I just need to find the manual lol. Can’t find one online anywhere. I think I’ll just have to trust the best measurement I could get. They all seem to be fairly standard depth-wise, but mine is a little shorter than standard, which made me a little concerned that it might be a little less deep as well.
Thanks for your help though 🙂

ModeratorAll integrated fridge freezers are designed to fit into standard 60cm deep housings with the appliances around 55cm deep.

ParticipantThat’s brilliant, thanks Don 🙂 It was the depth I was particularly concerned with as I am unable to measure the actual appliance. I could measure back to the wall but knew the appliance obviously does not go right back to the wall, but there was no way to tell how far away from the wall it was.
If they’re standard, then the new one I’m looking at should be fine. Thanks so much for all your help. It’s very much appreciated.
