    Hi,
We are trying to source a replacement clock for a Prima PRD0204 oven. We contacted Prima at the beginning of June and have been waiting over 5 weeks for one to be delivered and fitted (at a cost of £155). Consequently, yesterday we asked for our money to be refunded and have decided to try and get one ourselves, which is proving quite tricky. Any ideas please?
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi Dave,
It does not work, therefore the oven won’t heat up (although the fan works).
The engineer who came out said we needed a new clock.

a lot of clocks can be bypassed so the oven runs without it. As long as when you use the oven you dont have to set anything on the clock like temperature then the chances are it can be bridged.
unless you really want the clock

Thank you. Excuse my ignorance but does that mean rewiring somehow in order to bypass the clock. If so, is this easy to do and more importantly, safe?
Is it a job any reputable electrician could/would do?

    Thanks.

can be as simple as joining 2 wires and yes very safe if done properly and can be done so it cab be reversed if needed

the engineer you had out should have suggested it if it was possible

done lots for people who did not wanjt to pay a silly price for a clock

if you had a picture of the connections to the clocl i could probably tell you if its possible and which wires to join

if you need an engineer look here

you can ring one and ask for a quote to bridge the clock , it wont be even close to what you were prepared to pay for a newe clock unit
