ParticipantLong shot I know but does anyone have any ideas about this?
Everything else checks out ok, heater, motor, pump, P/switch etc. Machine will work for 1 or 2 washes then just shuts down. On switching on I can select programs but when I press start all I hear is a relay click followed by another ‘click’ that seems to come from the drum (weird I know).
I have to manually open the door from this point, and there is sometimes a little bit of water left in the machine (hoses/filters etc. ok).
I’m unable to enter the service menu or do a pcb reset, so I’m assuming the PCB has gone, or maybe even the i/lock?
Any help would be appreciated, this machine is 6 years old and I really would like to keep it going.

Moderatorwhen you say shuts down is it just stops or is it all lights off completely dead
think the motor on this is 3 phase so the click from the motor could be the 3 phase board initiallising

ParticipantYes it shuts down, I have to press the on/off button to power it up again. After that I can’t get it to do anything until a day or two later and then it seems to work fine. Sometimes the customer can get a couple of washes out of it before it does it again.
If it is the 3 phase board, would that be a motor and board swap? If not how do I find out which?

Moderatorwhen you say you switch it off to power it up again does it
A) power up, lights come on but nothing works
B) power up but no lights show

ParticipantThe LCD display comes on, I can change programs, but I can’t open the door or start a program.
If I try I get the relay click and the internal ‘clunk’ as described earlier.
I’ve tried getting into the service menu and even tried doing a full reset but none of that works.July 26, 2020 at 11:24 am #470752electrofix
Moderatoris an odd fault. normally board faults fail and thats it. your sometimes works ok then just stops.
you could look at the board for possible hairline cracks or solder problems
had a few not work becasue door lock not closed properly but normally opening door and re-closing sorts this. Assume you have tried this so can probably be discounted
does sound like a board issue

ParticipantDoor lock was my favoured route. I’ve took the main PCB apart and re-soldered any iffy joints, will do the same for the motor board and test.
If that fails will try a door lock. Thanks for the help, appreciated!
