Hi I have an electrolux oven and the door will not close. It is only a year and a half old. Can anyone suggest how to fix it?

so its not electrolux with that serial its a cheap import from a turkish manufacturer called Vestel

when you say the door wont close is it getting to within 10mm or so then stoppng and only closes if you push it ?

It doesn’t close at all, it seems not to catch. As I push it closed, the peg goes in but does not engage and therefore the oven door won’t close.

oh i see its that type
inside the door is a roller catch
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/c00230901-oven-roller-door-catch (this is not the correct one for your oven )

    this locks the door

you need to source a new one
try contacting the site shop with all those numbers and see if they stock one

Thankyou for your help. They sent me a link to this website: https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/37007702-genuine-oven-door-lock
Would that be relatively easy to replace ?

all depends which way round things are
is the pin on the door or the frame ?

thankyou so much for the advice. I looked again at the door and realised there were screws missing from underneath and one missing on the roller catch. Managed to take it apart and I managed to get the oven door closed…don’t know how long it will last but delighted to fix it. Thanks again.
