Took delivery of this a week ago today. I realised on Sunday that the right side of the top gets very hot during the drying cycle. It is as hot as the laundry inside that’s being dried. I had an engineer visit this morning who says it is supposed to do that. There is no insulation between the heating element, fan and the top of the machine. Curiously the rest of the machine, including the left side of the top, only get warm and don’t overheat. It is so hot that I can’t leave my hand on it for more than three or four seconds. It is an integrated unit and is supposed to go under my solid wood work top. I think it will damage it because of the excess heat and it is also very inefficient if so much is escaping from it. All advice gratefully received. Curry’s have refused to take it back as there is no fault and I have used it. I will be posting this in the washing machine forum as well.

You have the right to return the product within 30 days for a exchange or refund if your not happy with it. If the part of the appliance is not something that you can touch ie control knob or buttons i might expect it could get hot during the dry cycle plus if its built in the cabinet door would normally be closed when in use.
