    Hello,

My fridge is in good working order, but I noticed that there is green residue/coloring in the tubes in the areas where they are brazed to the compressor ports. The part called “dryer filter” is completely green. My question is: should I be alarmed about this green coloring? Is this an indication of a pending failure? In addition to this, the compressor is really hot to touch. Is this normal?

My fridge and freezer compartment temperature settings are in the middle of their respective ranges. I also clean the condenser coils periodically, so they are never dirty.

    Many thanks.

chances are these components are made of copper and copper oxide is green. its like copper rust

its unlikely to get any worse at least not quick enough to cause much problems
