Participantmore garbage from whirlpool i see this only 18 months old .. power in . but wont turn on at all .. got this stupid pull push door on it .. would a faulty door interlock, cause this on these new machines ? am thinking the pcb tbh . got those crap induction motors in it too .. garbage man

Looking at the diagram I agree with Dave, it has to be board as the power supply chip receives power irrespective of what the door lock is doing.

if it just blows the power supply it will be ok but had a hoover 3 weeks ago where it blew the whole boardDave

Participantwhat components do you replace to fix the boards . and where do you get them .. ie resistors .. chips . and dont you need special soldering equipment ? anti static bands ect if replacing chips ?

I’ve got a dishwasher board that’s been slugged. QER says probably main chip gone. I have the board back (a new one is on order for customer). Is there a systematic way of checking components?Lucie

look for one on ebaygreat units, very simple, part still available as are plenty of tips. temp is controlled by the tip, all tips have a number stamped on them, higher the number the hotter the tip

1st one worries me a bit, he has a 13A plug on it, but the transformer says 120v, MMMM, one to avoid
