    Hi,

    I have a Lamona LAM8603 which won’t turn on.

    I have tested the following:

Power to socket – OK 240v
Power from mains filter – OK 240v out
Switch – OK, contact in switch works using meter

I have also tried to get voltage readings from the switch plug (blue and purple wires), what I think are the control board power input wires (black and red) and switch plug (blue and purple wires) that goes into the board. I am getting around 20v at the switch and 60v or 70v at the control board, is this right?

Is it a control board failure?

    Cheers

On the first wire (purple) against the second (black) I’m getting 7.5v when the switch is on. Do you know what voltage I should be getting?

I have been trying the measure KN7 like you suggested but it has multiple wires on it. Any chance that KN2 is the power connector to the board? It only has a black and red wire and is supplying 21v.

    look for pin numbers
do a continuity check from the plug to pins 1 anjd 2

Sorry can’t see any pin numbers. I am getting continuity on what must be pin 1 on KN7 plug back to the mains plug but nothing on pin 2. So is there a break on neutral somewhere?

according to the diag i have

1 wire is violet live to board
2nd wire black neutral to board
    3rd wire brown

does that meet with what you have
