    Good afternoon all,

The above d/w powers up, yet will not start any cycle.

Having selected a cycle, and pressed start, a few seconds later the appliance beeps in a sequence, which may be a code?

The sequence is two rapid beeps, pause, long beep, pause, two rapid beeps, pause, long beep…. (which it does three times, prior to a longer pause, then repeating sequence.)

I’ve tried resetting the unit by holding the start button down for several seconds, and also switching off at socket to no avail.

Do I suspect the board, or is the d/w sending an error code?

error codes on most of these machines are given by the lights on the front or top of the machine

you normally have 3 light that tell where you are in the programme ( pre wash, wash and end ) plus the start button

if it is fault 2 because of 2 beeps then Fault 2 is fill valve failure. so either the valve has failed , the water is not on. or the timer is not switching on the valve

    Thanks for the info; Dave.

There aren’t any progress led’s, just the “beep code.”

The dishwasher will not start at all, and I wonder if it would sense a fill fault, even though it doesn’t start/drain?

I’ll revisit and carry out some more checks….

    Thanks again Dave,

Yes, the Technical Bulletin you kindly sent looks very much like the problem.

Customer away for the weekend, although I’ve explained the probable cause.

from that it looks like it will go if you open door and push start within 4 secs after it fails
