ParticipantE-Nr – S51T69X3GB/75 FD – 9309 Double flashing light tap and rince, cannot start the dishwasher. I have checked and cleaned all filters including the tap connection and there are no visible blockages. We have also topped up with rince aid. The washer is 7 years old and thinking the cost of replacing with warranty is the cheaper / reliable option. Shame really since my wife probably washes by hand more then she uses the washer. Any advice welcome.

ParticipantThankyou for the reply. When the power is switch on after about 5 seconds both lights start to flash together. There is no sound before hand. A bit odd.

Moderatoris a bit odd
would have expected the display to light if there was a fault
if its not the door switch then its probable the board is faultyassume you get nothing happening if you close the door

ParticipantThanks Dave. Nothing happens when we close the door. What’s your opinion trying to fix vs buy new ? Assume Its the board faulty how much do you think it would cost for an initial inspection visit to confirm the fault, buy the board, Install the board and perform a service ? Just trying to workout that it may be better buying new than trying to fix ?

Moderatorthere are 2 boards in the machine
lower board around £106 top board around £71not sure on call out charges where you are as they vary around the country but if you want to try someting as a long shot then take the door apart and disconnect the door switch. then switch on and see if the display lights up. if yes then replacing it will probably fix it and they are £18
its a long shot but it cant do any harm to try it

ParticipantThank-you Dave I may try that. We’re based in West Sussex so I don’t think we would get much change out of £300 – £350 parts and lob our I guess, worsts case scenario.
