Hi I am looking for some advice. The machine came with the house and has been washing fine over the past year. The dryer doesn’t work but I’m not worried about that. Recently it been making a lot of noise when it spins and I think the bearings are going. I really like the machine and would like to get it repaired, but not sure if it’s better just to get a new one. I’m not sure how old it is. The serial number is 914606026. Thanks

its the mad age we live in where a machine thats under 10 years old get scrapped all because they wont put a decent quality bearing system in

Very true. Going to look at Ebac as I think you can change the bearings and it has a 7 year warranty. Thanks again

I’m in the middle of replacing the bearings of my Lavamat (not a turbo). It’s all come apart nicely and even the sawing open the sealed drum has gone OK. I was a bit dubious but the plastic weld is only like glue of the same material. Bought a decent glue and it.shoukd seal up as well as before. I thought ‘if it’s scrap anyway there’s nothing to lose.’
12 years old, plenty of use, 15 would have been nice.
