    Hi
The start button, not the on/off button seems to be lifeless, has no resistance or return mechanism, so once pressed and comes to end of cycle it can start all over again!
It does operate the appliance if pushed, but then just seems to float of its own accord
Is the return mechanism in the button, as l can get a new button and fit it, or is it in the switch itself?
Wondering about the cost if it is….
All advice gratefully received and thanks

Thanks for your reply Dave, but it’s not the main power on switch inside the top shut of the door, it’s the start button on the fascia. It has no resistance and doesn’t return to rest, just appears to float. I guess there was a return mechanism, but l need to know if that was in the switch, which l believe is on the start stop card, or if it is in the button s l can get the right part. Thanks again for your help

the little switches that start the machine can go with age. I find i can with care open them and clean them out. very very small amount of wd40 and put them together. they should click when pressed if they dont they need replacing. you may find a suitable switch on Ebay but if you need a new board part no is 1899660100
