ModeratorLike a real amature I dont have a model number 😳 (mainly because i am in bed right now) but you will know it as the Brandt made dishwasher with the detergent dispenser in the top basket, right? Its got a leak from the area where the valve is that feeds the spray arms , its connected to the circ pump by a rubber bellows and to the sump moudling by 2 o rings and as soon as the pump starts up it leaks like crazy but when I remove the valve etc i cannot see anything amiss. Anyone else had a leak form this area and can give me a clue what to order?
any help, as always much appreciated.

Had this on a hotpoint DF53. It was caused by a small hole in the bellows seal, mouse damage. 🙂 It was an absolute pain to get the retaining clip back on.
Hotpoint Part No’s
Valve moulding 1801538
‘O’ rings 1801552
Bellows 1801539
I only had to change the bellows seal.May 29, 2005 at 4:33 pm #136336Martin

It does make you wonder what exactly a whitegoods engineer gets up to late on a Saturday night/Sunday morning doesn’t it?
Not sure if a pattern is emerging here??????? :con:

To be honest, I wasn’t sure if he meant he was a real armature or a real amateur. 😛

Just to bring closure to this thread, it was the motorised valve that was leaking, god knows from where, I just guess it was cracked and would open up under pressure. A new one fitted and all is well and electrue only charged me £69 for the part! Me, I am back off to bed.

KeymasterHOLY !
£69! That seems a tad OTT for a fill valve.
Guess that’s yet another customer that won’t be buying Brandt/Fagor/De Deitrich (or whatever they call themselves these days) product again then.

Was it a solenoid valve, or the valve body that fits onto the Circulation pump, with the bellows and ‘O’ ring. The Hotpoint 1801538 valve moulding is listed in PF as £15.48 !! Perhaps they use a different one on your machine.

Some Brandt versions have a motorised (upper/lower spray arm water director thing) valve where that part is fitted to the Hotpoint, I think that’s the part Mark is refering to, hence the high price.

Your right Dave, it is the valve between the circ pump and the spray arms, it is the motorised version as opposed to the MFI/Hotpoint basic type which is just a plastic moulding. I bet the Pre connect Brandt price would have been cheaper. It was a top of the range Brandt dishwasher (we sold it too 😯 ) I guess the same as the De detriech intergrated one.
