I went out to a Belling cookcentre 90Ei (444444080) to replace the bottom left oven thermostat which I did and all tested fine but got a call this evening from customer saying the induction hob is now dead. I had to lift the top hob to one side to replace stat but no damage was done to it. So my question is, is there known problems with these induction hobs or anything I should be looking out for when I go back tomorrow? The parts for these are very expensive. I didn’t test it before I started work so can’t be sure if customer is trying to pull a fast one if you catch my drift. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. TIA

all you can do is what i do

explain to the customer that you will check to see if anything you have done would have caused this to happen but if it is another fault thats unrelated then it will be chargeable. I normally say i will not charge for the visit and do it as an extension of the original job

there will probaly be 3 boards. 2 power board (or more) and a control board. cant see them all going

i would check terminal block firstl bet some clown has not checked the links are tight
