ParticipantHi all,
Last week my Indesit DSR26B1 starting showing lights which indicated that the anti flood device was activated. I pulled it out and the waste pipe was split. I changed it and dried it off, left it for a couple of days and then tried it again. It now seems to have a different error:
Lights 1 and 2 are solid
Low rinse aid and salt are both flashing.
I am having trouble finding exactly which error codes those lights link to. It seems that lights 1 and 2 flashing would indicate a blockage – so I cleaned the filter and used a plunger and lightly plunged. The new waste pipe is clear and dry so it looks like no water has left the machine.I would prefer to fix this myself as am happy following guides and fixing things myself (power off, water off etc) before calling someone in! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

ParticipantIt isn’t pumping out ok but I can’t find a blockage. So I just drained it using a sponge and cleaned it out.
Now this has happened:
When I pressed start it appeared as though nothing happened. Then Light 1 flashed and it beeped for about 5 minutes. Now only lights 2 and 3 are on and the low salt/rinse aid are flashing. It can’t seem to make up it’s mind what’s wrong. Any idea what this new error code might be?

ParticipantThanks for the reply Dave, sorry for the delay I was without a phone. The hoses look fine and the tap is on. The plumbing was only fully redone in February so it’s all quite new. Failing those things, any other ideas?
current state of affairs:
Light 1 flashes and it beeps for about 5 minutes. Then lights 2 and 3 stay on and the low salt/rinse aid are flashing.

ParticipantHi Dave,
Just replaced the old valve, unfortunately the same error. This has made me question if I have the lights correctly. Here’s a link to a video that shows the combination: https://photos.app.goo.gl/3ZtUZZe54vK5AbqG7
Appreciate the help!

Moderatorno i agree its a fill fault
the fact its not working wasa the reason i told you to check the valve and not replace it
double check you have water at the machine ( take hose off and turn tap on to check for water)
we can assume the valve is not faulty or highly unlikley
then check the wiring harness from the valve back to the board

Aha, I think I have found the cause. Water definitely coming out of the tap. But I reckon the initial leak must’ve caused this to blow?

ParticipantIt’s connected to the inlet valve

Moderatorright then its likley that the triac that contols the valve has blown on the control board
this can be repalced if you can solder surface mounted components but its also likley other components on the board have failed but you wont know till you replace it. Although you can inspect components around it with a high power magnifyer looking for damage
the bad news is you cant replace this part even second hand as it needs to be programmed

ParticipantWell, to be honest I’ve not particularly enjoyed this model so replacing it isn’t the end of the world. Thanks for the help!
