Hi. AEG Lavamat Turbo Model L16830. Often, but not always, door light is remaining green. The door is locked and I think a very small amount of water goes in but after that nothing except the timer counts down, as if it is going through the cycle. I have changed the door interlock but I suppose the new one could also be faulty, any other ideas? Thanks
we get all sorts of problems caused by faulty dryer elements
if the door lock was faulty the door would not be locked and its unlikley you have 2 locks with the same problem
find the connections to the dryer elements. make a careful note (pic) of where all the wores go. Now disconnect them all and insualte them so they can short and cause damage
Thanks Dave. I isolated the dryer elements and things did get better. It has run through one normal wash cycle. The door light stayed green until about 30 minutes in then it changed red but I won’t worry about that as long as it keeps washing. If it continues to work and IF I choose to replace the dryer element it looks like the back will have to come off which doesn’t look simple, with the water inlet etc attached to it?
