Hi All
We’ve got a integrated Indesit fridge freezer and the fridge compartment keeps freezing up and doesn’t auto defrost, if theres not much in it, it’ll happily freeze a bottle of water even when set to number 1. You can hear it constantly running, but if I turn the control switch off for 10 seconds and back on the motor doesn’t kick on and it’ll defrost, then after several hours the motor kicks in and it freezes up again.
From what I’ve read it’s a good chance it could be the thermostat, does that sound about right?
I’ve found a replacement for about £30 and its seems quite a straight forward job. Although most videos I’ve watch have the thermostat in the top right of the fridge, and the wire slides down the side. Whereas ours is in the middle between the fridge and freezer compartment. I gather it’s the same process but does anybody know if the wire will be connect to anything at the back or can I just pull it out and slide a new one in?
Grateful for any help or guidance.
thanks
