Hi, Had a recent fault with Miele T7634 tumble dryer, fault code F2 and testing with a multimeter showed an open circuit on the NTC thermal sensor. This was replaced and worked ok for a month or so but now same fault has occurred. I’m presuming the sensor has burnt out again, any idea what may have caused this ? Tumble worked ok, didn’t seem to get particularly hot and run time was roughly 2 hours for a full load for the last month. I don’t want to keep chucking expensive parts at this if something else might be at fault and causing the sensor to fail.

Any clues or pointers to why the replacement part is now showing an open circuit would be much appreciated.

    Cheers all,

i would find it strange if its burnt out as NTC;s are not carrying any load

    check for bad connections

Many thanks for the quick reply – much appreciated. Stripped machine down this morning and looks like connectors to the control board were dodgy, plastic clips were brittle and damaged in some places making it difficult to keep a good connection. At least I know what it is now, probably not cost effective to repair though given the age and use to date …. cheers

well it was me, as a long shot before i scrapped it , i would solder the wires directly to the board
