    Hi there,

Looking for any guidance as to what specifically is the issue with my 4 yr old Beko condenser dryer?

The nub of it is that all seems fine on turning on the machine:

Display lights up on Cottons Cupboard Dry > Countdown is showing 2:29 (which it should do) > Dialling around to any of the 16 cycles also highlights the correct countdown times.

On pressing Start (on any cycle) the countdown immediately drops to between 04:00 -10:00 minutes (depending on the original countdown length) and proceeds to work intermittently for 30 – 60 secs whilst the drum alternates direction (it seems without heat but I can’t be certain).

This is comfortably not my area of expertise (no multimeter etc.) but happy to try anything before I replace the machine a.s.a.p

FWIW I took the back off and tried the red button reset (It felt solid, no give).

It’s like the machine is stuck in limp mode or cool down mode.

Am I doing something daft or is the machine likely to be kaput (overheated thermostat)?

    Many thanks
