ParticipantHi folks, I hope you’re all well behind your mask and gloves

I’m trying to get my head around a no power fault on a Beko WDA914401W. Prod 7138343400. Ser. 18-800305-02.
There’s power into the machine, and the door locks (possibly because there’s water in it?) but there’s nowt else.
Although this one isn’t very old, it’s not the newer type of Beko washer drier which has a failing diode on the main board
It only seems to have a display board and a motor board. Is there another board I’m missing or does the motor board double up as main board? Thanks very much for your wisdom, knowledge and understanding 🙂

ParticipantStange, connect and aswo list a this as having 3 boards. Display, Main board(motor control) and a Control board (usually fits in a black case RHS inside the back)

ParticipantThanks Murv and Dave
no board fitted RHS in back although connect mention a control board but show no pic. As there’s no board there, I assume no faulty diode.
There is a pic of the board fitted back LHS and it looks like an elaborate motor board (large capacitor and heat sink).November 20, 2020 at 9:44 am #473317electrofix
Moderatorbeko manual show a main board at the bottom
it must have a main board with the power supplies on it
where ever it is find this board. All these board use switch mode power supplies which have schottsky diodes and fail along with the power supply chips and in rush resistors

ParticipantI guess the motor and control boards are now one (like on the Indesits). Dont see many newer machines so not come across this board yet.
As Dave said the chances are the power supply circuit will be similar, so worth checking for open circuit feed resistors or shorted diodes. If you find anything a photo or two of the board might help. Dave is very good at spotting potential problems.

ParticipantThanks gents, I appreciate the pointers. Will get back and dig deeper. If I get stuck, pics will follow… 🙂
