Miele G4210 Dishwasher stopped working – fix or scrap??

My Miele dishwasher (model G4210) has just stopped working about an hour into a 3 hr wash cycle. Water was still in bottom of the machine (have now bailed it out) but it isn’t responding to anything. The display is lit as normal and there are no error codes showing. I have tried everything that I can think of. Have checked the door lock, the non return valve and the impeller – all seem fine. Been powered off at mains and back on again. It should be possible to reset the machine and to programme it using a combination of button presses but it responds to nothing at all. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this – I am thinking along the lines of the control board but obviously if it’s something like this I will just need to scrap the machine. I am reluctant to pay for a Miele engineer to come out just to say that it’s beyond economic repair. Any advice at all would be welcome.
