    evening all

    We have a 3 year old Indesit Dif 16b1 UK ( in built but currently dragged to the middle of the kitchen ) which will fill and heat water but it wont pump the water to clean. it drains etc. there is a slight hum coming from it like the motor is straining. there are no errors and the programmes cycle through, so doesn’t seem to be the wiring at the top.

    can find anywhere which shows me how to get to the motor to check it out/ see whats blocking it?

    what can i do?

    well hopefully you have let something get in the motor and jam it

    dont know on this model but sometimes you can use a mirror and a torch in the sump when you have dried out the water, to look at the fan to see if you can see any obstruction

    failing that the motor has got to come out to be checked

    never done one of these myself

    these things seem to be covered in a so much plastic! and directly wired to the wall. how useful( stupid new build)…….
    the bit of the sump i can get to is tiny and just plastic with no disenable blockages. i shall keep going.
