Our Nordmende Fan oven has taken to occaissionally going crazy and rapidly increasing and decreasing the temperature setpoint, along with flicking through the programmes (DEF/PROG/PYR etc). When switched off & on at the mains it flashes up F28. Does anyone know what this code means and/or what is likely to be wrong with the oven. I think it only happens when the oven is taken past 200C, but not sure on this.

    Cheers,

Does it have a cooling fan, and is it running? I’m just wondering if the control electronics are getting too hot and going a bit mad.

Yes, The fan runs ok. It seems to be OK for a standard say 1/2 hour at 180 but if you go past that in temp or time it goes crazy. We did have a problem when the rubber end fitting fell of the lever for the door open cut-out. This meant that it was on a hair trigger for a while and cut on and off a lot … dunno if this would have affected something.
