Hotpoint Aquarius stopped in the middle of a wash

Ours is a WF220 which just stopped. None of the five LEDs on the left side are flashing. The only LED flashing is the “door lock”. The “wash” and “rinse and spin” and “on/off” LEDs are on and the “prewash” and “final spin” are off. I reset it and switched it off at the wall socket. Now when its switched on, with any programme selected, the appropriate LED comes on, you can hear the door lock but then nothing happens.
