Help. I just noticed I filled my rinse compartment with a gel wich in fact is some concentrated 3 actions dishwasher soap. I also launched the program and it is running now. What will happen? In the short term for this run and in the long term for subsequent runs?

probably nothing to the machine but i would take it through 3 or 4 rinses to be certain its gone

cant say what it will do to your clothes

It will probably produce excessive foaming i would suggest stopping the dishwasher rubbing a bar of soap just under where you put the detergent, ie which is alkaline and fil and empty it at least 4 or 5 times, the excessive foam can cause the dishwasher to leak so i would definitely do this

thats what happens when you read things and get the wrong end of the stick. oops proves I am not a robot lol

agree with Kia you may have to rinse it out

think i would stop it. unload it and rinse it

to do this i would start the programme, then as it start to wash cancel it to make it pump out. open door and remove any foam you find and repeat.

as Kai said soap can have a foam supressing quality

the only problem can be if you get too much foam it leaks into the base and trips the flood switch. not a major problem but it would mean you accessing the base to dry it out
