John Lewis JLWM1417 (poss made by AEG?) washing machine hose replacement or fix

Looking for advice. The hose has snapped at the entrance to the back of the machine. There is about 4mm sticking out proud of the casing. The hose from here to the pump is intact. My husband is going to look at it later – but the remaining part seems to be very fixed in place. Would you advise replacing the whole thing or is it possible to just replace the hose from the back of the machine out? There is very little hose sticking out unfortunately. Any advice would be VERY gratefully received. Not looking forward to a wash-less Christmas! Thanks in advance.
