ParticipantI’ve got an AEG L75270FL that has been in storage for a couple of years. Bought new in 2013. It fills when it should, and drains when it should. But the drum never turns, and there are no signs of life from the motor or any relays – no clicks, humming, anything. The programmer shows the appropriate symbol for the stage, slow flashing, and the timer counts down. There are no error codes at all. I’ve put it into the maintenance mode, and looked at C11 – the only code is E00, ie none. The shipping bolts were not fitted as it went into storage. The drum spins freely by hand, but not so freely as if the belt were missing.
Is it likely the motor is dead and the machine doesn’t realise? Could it be the brushes have stuck, or a coincidence that the brushes have become too worn just as it went into and out of storage? Or is this machine a brushless? Any ideas appreciated, thanks

Moderatorit is a non brush motor.
the inverter panel is at the bottom where all the cold and condensation go. did you let it warm up for a few hours before you tried it ?Dave

ParticipantHi Dave, yes, the machine has now been in a dry house for a few days. At first I thought I must have done something stupid in re-installing it. But it’s gradually coming to life – at first it would only pump out, but yesterday it started filling too. I presume the motor is pretty reliable, so I’ll try getting to the control board to dry it, then re-assemble the connector(s) with contact cleaner.
Is it accessible from the top/back, or from below?

Moderatorthink its back access for the board but make sure its been off for a while before you handle the board itself as the capacitors hold charge at 300v dc

ParticipantHi Dave
I’ve retrieved the control board for the motor, through the back cover. Everything inside the machine is very clean and dry. There is no sign of water damage on the controller PCB. I cleaned and reconnected all the cables, but no change to the dead motor. The 3 phases of the motor all read 5.5 ohms, so I’m guessing the windings are ok. Since the motor/drive seems totally dead, a further question is whether there might be any fuses in the wiring block at top right of the machine, where the mains cable enters?
Otherwise I guess I’m going to need a new controller, but it worries me that the problem could still be elsewhere (the overall controller/programmer). And why has it failed during storage?
Many thanks
