Hi I have a 5 year old Samsung RSG5UCRS Fridge-Freezer. Have had no problems until last week. When the ice/water buttons were used, suddenly got the PC error. Can’t now remove the error, nor use the touchscreen. Fridge and freezer still working normally but can’t interact in any way or get ice or water.
I’ve tried powering on and off, and also disconnecting the wiring in the top left hinge as advised, and reconnecting.
This morning, an engineer arrived, checked the hinge wiring and advised I either need a new door (£300+) or a new fridge. He also couldn’t guarantee a new door would fix the problem.
I’m hesitant to pay £300 for a door which may not fix the problem, and I don’t want to buy a new unit as this one is working.
Any ideas on what else I could try? Could it be the front display PCB or a main board?
