    I rent my flat and the Indesit washing machine was here when I moved in. The drum made a hella racket last wash, so I need to book a repair.

    Could anyone tell me how old it is?

    since the problem is a drum assembly change your better off scrapping it. if it comes with the flat its your landlords job

    otherwise get permission to scrap it and buy your own on the proviso you can take it with you if you leave

    Think it’s over 10. But can’t be certain. Some people on here know how to read the serials.

    one of the ways is to pop off the lid and look at components, it’s quite common for dates to appear on some of them
