    Hi, Can anybody help please!
My dishwasher completed most of it’s wash cycle then the red tap warning light started to flash:
The contents were warm, with all water drained, including in the filter sump. Every few minutes the drain pump starts up and runs for 10-20 seconds, although the water has been drained:
All filters checked and cleaned, drain pump and rotor seem fine.
Drain pipe OK. Water supply filters checked and cleaned.
The dishwasher can not be switched off or reset using the controls. When switched off (several minutes) and on again at the mains switch the fault is instantly present. On 3-4 occasions the dishwasher worked again after disconnecting from water+Mains, but now it will not reset regardless.
This fault has occurred when only the prewash function (cold only) was selected and was noticed once the water had been emptied (before second rinse?/not sure).
    Any ideas please!!!!
    Thanks,
    Phil

try tilting the dishwasher back slowly till you get to 45 degrees. you need to do it slowly as we are checking for water in the base of the machine and dont want it to slosh over anything. if when you do this you get water on your floor then the unit may have a leak
if water comes out clean all round the door seal paying attention to the bottom of the door as people often miss this. then try unit and see if it works. If yes see how it goes. if it fails within a short time you have a leak and need to find it

the flashing light is just an indication of a technical fault. Problem is there is no way of knowing what

Thanks Dave, this is great advise.
It fits in with the fact that is will start working 24 hours later!
The washer worked again yesterday (and so far tonight!), so I will wait until the fault occurs again and try tilting it backwards as advised.

I also did not realise the flashing light was a general indicator, so I was not considering other possibilities.

    Thanks again,
    Phil

if you look in the manual
if its steady it a water fault, if it flashes could be anything
